Joyce Michael Kuron is Montrose’s Community Engagement Specialist for the DFID-funded Health Pooled Fund (HPF3) in South Sudan. She has over 15 years of programme implementation and management experience. She currently oversees the effective and efficient implementation of community health services and start-up implementation, partners coordination, management, technical support, guidance and quality control of the programme. Joyce also supported the roll-out and implementation of the Boma Health Initiative in all the 55 counties of South Sudan.
Prior to joining HPF, Joyce worked for international and national NGOs as a full-time employee in Sudan and South Sudan. She lived and worked in Sudan for seven years. In August 2007, Joyce returned to South Sudan from Sudan, in the capacity of health specialist providing guidance and technical support in the implementation of USAID-funded ROADS project.
Joyce has an MSc in Health Education from Gezira University and a Diploma in Curative and Preventive Medicine. She is South Sudanese, speaks fluent Arabic and has a working knowledge and experience in emergency and development contexts.
