Situation

  • Malaria Consortium is an international NGO working in communicable disease control and is regarded as a global leader in malaria control.
  • Montrose was contracted by Malaria Consortium to provide a range of technical and strategic advisory services at global, regional (Africa and Asia), and country levels (South Sudan, Sudan, Thailand, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zambia, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi).

Solution

  • The support provided to Malaria Consortium included:
    • Provision of management advice to Malaria Consortium country offices (South Sudan, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, SE Asia) including on staffing and performance and project management systems.
    • Technical reviews of its major country programmes.
    • Provision of high level technical advice on communicable disease control and key themes the organisation should be pursuing.
    • Provision of organisational advice at global level including advising the Senior Management Team on its new five-year strategic plan.
    • Provision of business development services.
