Our client required a needs assessment and scoping study of the health and water & sanitation sectors to inform the design of a multi-annual social investment programme in Equatorial Guinea.
Solution
Montrose developed a detailed health and water & sanitation needs assessment framework to guide the direction of our client’s planned social investment programme.
We then carried out a detailed situational analysis comprising desk-based research, field-visits and in-depth consultations with government, civil society and community-level stakeholders.
The study included an analysis of the disease burden and health needs of the population, the functionality of the health system and a comprehensive stakeholder analysis.
Impact
The study provided clear recommendations on the scope and direction of the planned social investment programme.
The recommendations were taken up by the client and Montrose was then contracted to carry out the programme design work.
