Oliver Bond has experience in bid writing and management, business development strategy and design, partnership development and client relationship management, expanding Montrose’s portfolio of projects across the education, health, environment and economic development sectors.
Oliver has a proven track record of managing tendering processes and has supported the implementation of targeted business development strategies in multiple geographical contexts across sectors such as conflict and security, rural development, trade, education, climate resilience and health. Oliver initially built up experience as a bid assistant, writer and coordinator for a leading British consultancy procuring agricultural development and natural resources management contracts in China and Afghanistan. Oliver then went on to work for a Netherlands-based animal and human health consultancy, developing and strengthening the company’s business development strategy and procuring several donor-funded projects.
Prior to joining Montrose, Oliver was working as a business development consultant preparing high value technical offers to the UK Department of International Development (DFID) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) for multi-sectoral monitoring, evaluation and learning assignments and technical delivery improvement projects in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Oliver has also worked as a project manager and coordinator for a World Bank-funded farmer training facility in Uganda and an ADB technical assistance project to improve food safety measures in trade across Central Asia. Oliver holds a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bath, UK. He is based in the Netherlands.
