Edward Richard Ahonobadha is Montrose’s Knowledge Management and Communications Manager for the DFID-funded Health Pooled Fund (HPF3) in South Sudan. He has over 11 years’ progressive experience in communications, advocacy and programme management, international development and working in the development and humanitarian context in East, Central and Southern Africa region.
Prior to joining HPF3, Edward worked for International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) and consultancy firms whose work exposed him to development and humanitarian work across Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Puntland State of Somalia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Some of the most successful regional engagements that Edward has led include the profiling of the East Africa food crisis, Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the South Sudan refugee crisis raising global awareness and raising funds to assist in the humanitarian interventions. He has led in the designing and formulation of communication, policy and advocacy messaging aimed at influencing decisions and actions from key institutions globally.
Edward believes in continuous education to improve skills in order to constantly stay abreast of the latest trends, needs and communications demands in Sub-Saharan Africa.
